The Verified Badge
What the Verified badge means, the four things that earn it, and how it can be paused.
The Verified badge is the one trust signal on EventSplit. It appears next to an organizer's name on their event pages, tickets, Marketplace listings, sponsor pitches and collaborator offers. It is earned by what you did on the platform — never applied for, never paid for.
Who sees it
Event-goers deciding whether to buy, sponsors comparing two events, and the people you invite to work with you. To all of them it says the same thing: this person has run real events here and finished them.
The four requirements
- 1Three completed events — events you ran through to the end and marked complete, not just created.
- 2No cancellations in the last 12 months — one bad month shouldn't follow you forever, but it shouldn't be forgotten in a week either. A cancellation drops off on its own after a year.
- 3A connected Stripe account — Stripe confirms your identity through its own checks, so we never ask you for documents.
- 4No open disputes — resolve anything a collaborator has raised and the badge returns once it closes.
How it's checked
Every night, and whenever something changes — an event completed or cancelled, a dispute opened or closed, Stripe connected. The moment you meet all four, the badge is on. If you later cancel an event or a dispute is opened, the badge is paused and you're told why; fix it and it comes back.
Where you stand
Open Verification in your dashboard sidebar. It lists each requirement, whether you've met it, and what to do next.
Mark events complete from the event page after they run. It's the one requirement organizers most often forget — the event happened, but it was never closed out.
